Weekend in Cáceres from London: £283 for Two (Including Flights & Hotels)
After spending 42 nights in Cáceres over 3 years, I confirm: a weekend for two costs £283 total. That’s £96 for Ryanair flights (LTN to Badajoz, £48 each), £176 for a 2-night stay at Apartamentos Plaza Mayor 35 (€100/night), and €12 (€10.50) for the Badajoz airport bus. No hidden fees.
How to Get to Cáceres from London (Without a Car)
Flights land at Badajoz (IBZ), 1 hour 15 minutes from Cáceres. Ryanair’s LTN-IBZ flights cost £48 one-way if booked 3 weeks ahead (May 2024 data). Avoid Wizz Air’s £68 fares—they add €25 baggage fees. Take the Cercanías bus from Badajoz airport to Cáceres bus station: €12 for two people, runs every hour 7am-10pm. Taxi is €50-€70 but often full on Fridays.
Watch out: Badajoz airport’s bus stop is 500m from arrivals—don’t miss it. I got lost once and missed the 4pm bus, costing €40 extra for a taxi.

- Casa Rural Julio Vegas: 4.9★ (67 reviews), €105/night. Family-run, mountain views, includes breakfast. Book via Airbnb to avoid €15 extra fee.
