1. TOLL SYSTEM

Hong Kong uses electronic toll collection (ETC) exclusively. No cash payments. Tolls are charged per route, not per km. Fines: HK$500 for 1-20 km/h over limit; HK$1,000 for 21-40 km/h over; HK$2,000 for 41+ km/h over. Skipped: Avoid driving on Victoria Peak Drive at night – 40% of fines are issued here due to speed cameras.
