Save Time at US Customs: Global Entry vs Mobile Passport Control

Returning US travelers can cut wait times by using either Global Entry ($120/year) or the free Mobile Passport Control app. Both options skip traditional customs lines, but only Global Entry grants pre-approved travelers expedited immigration and customs clearance at over 20 airports. Mobile Passport Control works at more than 400 airports but only for passport control — not baggage claim.
