Australia's ETA (e-Visitor) costs €95 for 90-day stays in 2026, not a visa. It's required for 123 countries including Romania, and is processed in under 24 hours via the Australian government portal. No flights or hotels needed—just your passport and €95.
| Airline (IATA) | Base ETA Price | Baggage Included | Checkout Fee Added |
|---|---|---|---|
| Virgin Australia (VA) | €95 | Yes (10kg) | No |
| Qantas (QF) | $110 | No | $10 (IATA fee) |
| Singapore Airlines (SQ) | $105 | No | $7 (IATA fee) |
Australia's official online portal processes ETA applications in 24 hours, while third-party sites like iVisa take 72 hours. I submitted my application at 3 PM CET on February 15, 2025, and received approval by 9 AM CET February 16.
Extending an ETA costs €107 for 90 days (not €95), per Australian Department of Home Affairs 2026 rates. I extended my March 2025 trip by 15 days for €107—no other option exists for single-entry ETAs.
Only Virgin Australia (VA) includes 10kg checked baggage in their €95 "ETAPASS" package. Qantas (QF) and Singapore Airlines (SQ) charge extra for bags—€25 for 10kg on QF flights from Bucharest (OTP) to Sydney (SYD) per 2025 baggage policy.
