Day 1-2: Arrival & City Highlights

Upon arrival in Stockholm, your journey begins in the heart of the city—Gamla Stan, the historic old town. A walking tour of Gamla Stan is a must, with its cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and charming alleyways. Don't miss the Royal Palace (open daily 10 AM–6 PM, 160 EUR for the palace and museum combined), which offers a glimpse into Sweden’s royal history. Stroll across the iconic Stockholm Bridge and enjoy panoramic views of the city’s archipelago.

On your second day, head to the Djurgården island, home to the Vasa Museum (open daily 10 AM–6 PM, 240 EUR). This museum houses the world’s only preserved 17th-century warship, offering a fascinating look into maritime history. Afterward, relax in the green spaces of Djurgården, such as the Skansen open-air museum (open daily 10 AM–6 PM, 120 EUR), which showcases traditional Swedish life and culture.

Day 3-4: Museums & Culture

Stockholm is a treasure trove of world-class museums. Start your third day at the Nobel Museum (open daily 10 AM–6 PM, 100 EUR), which celebrates the achievements of Nobel Prize laureates. Then, visit the ABBA Museum (open daily 10 AM–8 PM, 120 EUR), a fun and interactive tribute to the iconic Swedish band. Both are located in the central district, making them easy to access on foot.

On your fourth day, make your way to the Museum of Modern Art, or Moderna Museet (open daily 10 AM–6 PM, 160 EUR). It houses an impressive collection of modern and contemporary art, including works by Frida Kahlo and Picasso. In the afternoon, take a ferry to the island of Lidingö and visit the Kulturhuset, a cultural center with rotating exhibitions, cafes, and open-air spaces perfect for reflection.

Day 5: Local Neighbourhoods & Food

Dive into Stockholm’s local culture by exploring the Södermalm district. Known for its vibrant street art, trendy cafes, and independent boutiques, Södermalm is a must-visit. Start your day at the Gröna Lund amusement park (open daily 11 AM–10 PM, 200 EUR), located in the southern part of the district. Afterward, wander through the colorful Islandsgatan street, where you can find unique shops and art galleries.

For lunch, head to the Matbaren (open daily 12 PM–10 PM), a cozy spot offering modern Swedish cuisine. In the evening, enjoy the sunset at Skanstull, a harbor area with views of the city skyline.
