Frequently asked questions

When and where is UNTOLD 2026?

UNTOLD 2026 runs from 6 to 9 August 2026 at Cluj Arena in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. It is the anniversary edition, branded UNTOLD ONE.

Is UNTOLD cashless? How do I pay?

Yes, UNTOLD is completely cashless. You load money onto your festival wristband and pay with it everywhere. You cannot pay with cash or a card directly at the stalls.

How do I top up my wristband?

Top up online before the festival through your account, which is the fastest way and skips the queues, or top up at the Credit Points inside the festival. Your balance stays valid for the whole event.

Can I get back the money left on my wristband?

Yes. You can ask for a refund of your unspent balance at a Credit Point when you leave, at the Resolution Point during the event, or on the Monday after the festival at the official Ticketing Point. Confirm the exact 2026 window on the official site.

What time do the gates open and how late does it run?

Access to the grounds starts at 16:00 each day, and a day pass is valid from 16:00 until 05:00 the next morning.

Can I leave and come back the same day?

Yes, but re-entry is limited to twice per day to keep the entrances flowing.

Is there an age limit? Can children come?

There is no strict minimum age. Children under 7 enter free with a parent, kids aged 7 and over need a ticket plus a signed parental agreement and ID, and anyone under 14 must stay with a parent or responsible adult. Hearing protection is required for the under 3s and a good idea for older children.

What can I bring and what is banned?

Leave behind outside drinks and food, bottles and sprays, umbrellas, lasers, drones, flammables and tripods, and keep bags small. You can bring your wristband, ID, sunscreen and a power bank, and only mirrorless cameras are allowed for photos.

Are there lockers?

Yes, there are paid lockers near the entrance where you can store your things for a single day or for the whole festival.

How do I get to Cluj Arena from the airport?

From Cluj-Napoca airport you can take a taxi, a Bolt or an Uber, or city bus lines 5 or 8. Cluj Arena sits close to the centre, so walking, e-scooters and local buses all work once you are in town.

Is there camping at UNTOLD?

There is no official campsite because the festival is right in the city. A few people camp on the outskirts, but most book a hotel, hostel or rental in Cluj-Napoca. Book early, the city fills up fast for UNTOLD week.

What is the weather like and what should I wear?

Early August in Cluj is warm by day, roughly 25 to 30 degrees, and cooler after midnight, around 18 to 22. Light, breathable clothes and comfortable shoes work best, with a light layer for the late-night sets.

How much are tickets?

Prices change every year and sell in tiers, so the earlier you buy, the cheaper it is. Check the official UNTOLD site for the current passes and what each one includes.

Where should I eat during UNTOLD?

Inside there are over 50 food stalls, but the festival is cashless so you pay with your wristband, and queues get long during the big sets. Most locals eat a proper meal in Cluj's Old Town before heading in.
